Status Report 18 Sept 2023

Just a quick update today. The concrete crew pulled out of the job. I’ve spent the week speaking with other concrete/ landscaping companies. I’ve had three site visits already, and have several more scheduled for early this week. The goal is to collect bids this week, and make a selection/ sign the contract next week. Knowing that work is backed up means it’s likely this project won’t start for several weeks after that, and we’ll be getting to the tail end of the concrete pouring season. It’s a challenge, but I’m keeping after everyone to get the bids as fast as possible. On the plus side, the original team was doing this as a side job, so it would have been spread over weekends and likely wouldn’t have completed until late November anyway. With all of these new bids, it’ll be a core job, so it should go much faster. The folks I’ve talked to so far are all pretty excited that I’ve got all of the permits in hand, so that helps too.

Many thanks to my wife for all of her patience.
