Big Picture: Where are we?
Gearing up to start Mintwood landscaping project.
Corp Update
- HackPgh cabinets are nearly complete. I’m working with the board on a few details to rearrange the shop and get it ready for installation.
- New tenants in CA seem to be settling in OK after some initial hiccups.
- Permitting process for the hardscape has been challenging and slow. We received Zoning approval for Mintwood projects, as well as DOMI approval for the curb cut and sidewalk repairs. We were advised that we need a building permit bc the retaining walls are over 4′ high. First round of plans were rejected, so we pulled in our structural engineer. They were kind enough to squeeze us into the schedule, and they produced plans quickly. Those plans have been resubmitted to the city, and we are awaiting final approval.
- As part of the Mintwood project, we’re also doing a small piece of retaining wall for one of the neighbors. It’s just attached to the main retaining wall we’re already building. We had to file a whole second set of permits and plans. Once again, prior partners to the rescue- our surveyor was able to hustle a team out to survey the neighbor’s yard and ge we needed to submit for zoning approval.

Goals for August
- Receive approval from PLI for construction
- Brace neighboring decks and begin demolition of old parking pad and walls.
- Tax preparations
